Have you got unexpected guests? Do not panic, because this amazing moussaka recipe will satisfy every taste, no matter how someone is fastidious when choosing a meal.
3 tablespoons fresh choped mint
200g feta cheese
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
500g minced lamb
400g finely chopped tomatoes
2 tablespoons tomato purée
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
200g jar chargrilled aubergines in olive oil, drained and chopped
Heat the oil in a large pan. Fry the onion and garlic and until soft and add the mince then stir fry for 3-4 minutes until browned.
Tip the tomatoes into the pan and stir in the tomato purée and cinnamon, then season with salt and pepper. Leave the mince to simmer for 20 minutes, adding the aubergines half way through.
Sprinkle with feta and chopped mint. Bring the moussaka to the table as the feta melts and serve it with a crunchy green salad.
