Pizza is one of the most popular dishes in the world, primarily because of the cheap and easily available ingredients as well as the simplicity of its preparation. So today we are suggesting you to prepare a delicious classic called “Capricciosa.” Bon appétit !
250 g flour
125 ml water
1 teaspoon dry baking yeast
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon oregano
40 ml tomato sauce
100 g cheese (grated)
50-70 g ham (thinly chopped)
5-6 fresh mushrooms (washed and sliced)
little black olives
50 g basil, mint or arugula
In a bowl place the flour, yeast, salt and oregano. Add water and olive oil while stirring constantly. Knead until it starts to separate from the walls of the bowl. Cover with towel and let it stand 1 hour at room temperature or until doubled in volume.
Divide the dough in two (if you wish it can be only one), and with a rolling pin make it as thin as possible and in a circular shape.
First coat the dough with tomato sauce. Optionally, you can boil it and add some of your favorite spices.
Sprinkle the top with grated cheese, place a few slices of ham and sliced mushrooms. If desired, place a few chopped olives.
Bake the pizza at 220°C in a well preheated oven about 10 minutes or until golden. Once you remove it from oven, place a few leaves of fresh basil or arugula and serve
